chemmeen is a love story based on the loves of pareekutty and karuthamma whom were lived in sea shore. Pareekutty is a rich man who has number of boats while karuthamma is very poor. their loves were beyond the religion’s boundary. But, karuthamma’ s father dislikes him. he gives to her father many boats but he doesn’t like him. after he became a poor man. one day a man named Palani come in this shore while her father like him and he fixed the marriage with him.

After   some years later; pareekutty went to her island. But he saw only two dead body in shore.
